THE WEEKEND CLASS: BACKBENDING

Advanced Beginner
Fee: $10 CAD / free for members

Prerequisites:

  • Comfortable with exercises and shapes in kneeling positions

  • No injury or any other health or wellness concern that may get in the way of safe training for backbends.

Shapes of Focus: Lunges, toes to head, cobra, kneeling backbend (camel), locust positions (superperson), mini-bridges (shoulders on floor), dancer’s bridge, chest to wall, core and mobility exercises.

Join Bronwen for her Weekend Class series! Each class will be a different focus aimed to build active mobility, end of range control, skill development, and refinement for artistic, athletic, or other developmental goals. Class will flow through positions standing in the centre, at the wall and on the floor. Up to three levels of intensity will be offered for many of the more complex moves, hoping to make the class suitable to most.
